I decided to begin my sessions with Kat to learn more ways to focus on self care. Having gone through a transformative time during various sessions with Kat, she made sure to always remind me that I am the expert in my own life and allowed me to share what I am open to exploring in order to make our sessions more engaging and digestible. I shared with Kat that outside of "talk-style" therapy, I learn through books relative to our sessions, discussions, articles, art, exercises, writing prompts - and Kat delivered. I was the center of the session- this was my time to explore me and value my time towards my own growth and healing. Kat is attentive, fearless in her exploration to form authentic connections, and is her authentic self 100%. Kat maintained and modeled her personal boundaries and shared with me what she was willing to commit to during our time together. My sessions with Kat reminded me to slow down, dedicate time for myself and to always put my oxygen mask on first before anyone else. I found results in knowing that I am a priority and I am proud to come to that conclusion which can get easily lost during day to day activities and day to day interactions. I am appreciative of the resources Kat had to offer me and what I appreciate more is when I am ready to commit to more sessions, her door is always open for a session.
