6. Target Population: Black women seeking holistic wellness  to address systemic disparities in mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social health. Black women face significant health challenges influenced by various social determinants of health, including:

 • Economic Inequities: Black women are more likely to experience income disparities, with the median earnings for Black women being 63 cents to every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men, limiting access to quality healthcare and wellness resources.

 • Healthcare Access: Black women are less likely to have access to preventative care and are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications compared to white women.

 • Mental Health Stigma: Although Black women experience higher rates of stress, depression, and anxiety, cultural stigma and lack of representation in mental health services often discourage seeking support.

 • Chronic Illness Rates: Black women have higher incidences of conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, often exacerbated by systemic barriers to healthy food, safe environments, and equitable care.

 • Spiritual and Social Wellness: Systemic racism, micro-aggressions, and lack of social support can undermine spiritual and social well-being, leaving many Black women feeling isolated or undervalued.

This service is designed to provide a safe, empowering space tailored to the unique experiences of Black women, fostering healing, resilience, and balance across all areas of life.

At KatCares LPCC, we guide you through five pathways on your self-care journey: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social wellness. Together, we build balance and sustainable self-care practices that last a lifetime.
